At the invitation of Pierre-Antoine Gailly (H.75), President of the CCI Paris Ile-de-France, Peter Todd has accepted to become the Dean of HEC Paris, succeeding Bernard Ramanantsoa (MBA.76) who has been at the head of HEC since 1995.
During his tenure, Bernard Ramanantsoa has been able to greatly transform the school by giving it a true international dimension, ensuring renowned academic excellence and developing management research.
For more than 25 years, Peter Todd, a renowned researcher and professor in the fields of innovation management and information technologies, has gained significant experience in managing degree programs (specifically MBA) and Executive Education programs, before becoming Dean of a Business School.
With a PhD from the University of British Columbia, Peter Todd was first a professor at Queens School of Business (Ontario) then at the University of Houston (Texas). In 1999, while Peter Todd was Associate Dean of the Business School, the school was awarded a naming gift of $40 million.
In 2001, Peter Todd joined the prestigious McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. From 2005 to 2014, he was Dean of the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management, based in Montreal.
In this position, he managed more than 200 colleagues, including 100 professors. (With almost 2,500 students, McGill offers a variety of degree programs from the undergraduate to the doctoral level).
At McGill, he successfully undertook bold reforms that resulted in the development of a portfolio of programs, the internationalization of the school and the significant increase in the school’s ability to self-finance.
