JUST A QUICK TECHNICAL REMINDER TO POLO SPECTATORS AND FANS : THREE NEW RULES IMPLEMENTED FOR THE ARGENTINE TRIPLE CROWN TOURNAMENTS IN 2014.

THE TORTUGAS OPEN, HURLINGHAM OPEN AND ARGENTINE OPEN ARE THREE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING POLO TOURNAMENTS IN THE WORLD AND TOGETHER THEY FORM THE ARGENTINE TRIPLE CROWN.

IN ORDER TO MAKE THE MATCHES EVEN MORE DYNAMIC AND ENTERTAINING, THE ARGENTINE POLO ASSOCIATION ( AAP ) HAS IMPLEMENTED THREE NEW RULES IN 2014 :

1. GOALS SCORED AS PART OF A MOVE WITHIN A TEAM ARE COUNTED AS DOUBLE SCORES.

2. ONLY FOUR PLAYERS ( TWO FROM EACH TEAM ) CAN BE PRESENT FOR THE THROW – IN AND THE REMAINING PLAYERS MUST STAY 10 YARDS AWAY.

3. THE DISTANCE FOR A PENALTY IS A MAXIMUM OF 50 YARDS.

WE AT WWW.CONVERSATIONPRIVEE.COM / WWW.OFF-THE-RECORDMESSAGING.COM HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY PROUD TO REPORT LIVE  FROM BUENOS AIRES , TAKE A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES, TALK TO THE PLAYERS,  MEET INSIDERS AND OLD ACQUAINTANCES AND FORGE NEW FRIENDSHIPS WHILE EXPERIENCING THE UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE AT THE ARGENTINE OPEN.
