G20 – OECD GLOBAL FORUM ON INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT – ISTANBUL, TURKEY – 5 OCTOBER 2015.

G20-OECD Global Forum on International Investment
5 October 2015 – Istanbul, Turkey.

The global recovery is still hesitant and unemployment at record highs, despite ample liquidity in financial markets.

The “comeback” of investment cannot be delayed if growth is to prove sustainable, both economically and environmentally. Organised back-to-back with the G20 meeting of Trade Ministers, the G20-OECD Global Forum on International Investment takes place in Istanbul on 5 October 2015.

The Turkish Minister of Economic Affairs, H.E. Nihat Zeybekci, and OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will open a day of debates focused on:

  • The investment environment
  • Next generation Free Trade Agreements
  • Global value chains and the trade-investment nexus
  • Policy coherence between trade and investment

This event will bring together G20 Trade Ministers, heads of international organisations, investment policy makers, academics, and other high-level business, labour and civil society representatives.
