FSI : THE FRENCH INVESTMENT FUND BACKING FRANCE’S FUTURE LEADING COMPANIES.

 

AT THE END OF 2008, THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT CREATED THE FONDS STRATEGIQUE D’INVESTISSEMENT (FSI), A 20 BILLION EUROS SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUND.

FSI’s PURPOSE IS TO MAKE SOUND INVESTMENTS IN SELECTED GROWING COMPANIES THAT CAN STRENGHTEN THE COUNTRY’S COMPETITIVENESS.

ITS CORPORATE GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE AND DECISION-MAKING PROCESS ARE SIMILAR TO THOSE OF PRIVATE FUNDS.

FSI IS AN EQUITY INVESTOR TAKING MINORITY STAKES BETWEEN 5%AND 30% IN FRENCH COMPANIES OF ALL SIZES ( e.g LISTED AND UNLISTED COMPANIES, LARGE COMPANIES AND SMEs, BOTH DIRECTLY AND THROUGH SPECIALISED FUNDS.

FSI FAVORS CO-INVESTMENTS WITH PRIVATE INVESTORS AND PRIMARILY TRANSACTIONS WHERE FSI’s SUBSCRIPTIONS PROCEEDS ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE COMPANY.
