FRANCE DOWNGRADED BY MOODY’S FROM AAA TO Aa1.

AFTER STANDARD & POORS WHICH MOVED FRANCE OFF A AAA  RATING IN JANUARY 2012, MOODY’S INVESTORS SERVICES HAS DOWNGRADED THE CREDIT RATING OF FRANCE, STRIPPING A KEY EUROZONE ECONOMY OF IT’S PRIZED AAA STATUS.

FURTHER DOWNGRADES ARE STILL POSSIBLE WHILE THE EUROZONE HAS SLIPPED INTO RECESSION FOR A SECOND TIME IN 4 YEARS.

FITCH IS NOW THE ONLY RATINGS AGENCY WHICH GIVES FRENCH DEBT A AAA RATING.
